19th and 20th i'm oh-so-thankful!

i'm thankful for always being able to smile at my husband and his crazy thought processes~ it's never a dull moment with him, and he surely keeps me on my toes!

i'm also thankful for my husband giving me compliments out of the blue (especially ones i never knew he even thought!!) for example: yesterday he told me he thought it was adorable how creative i am, and that he was happy i could have so much fun doing crafts. today he exclaimed, rather emphatically, to my mother that i was an amazing driver! yep, that's right kids, i'm a good driver! who knew?! like i said, he keeps me on my toes and guessing every step of the way.

pretty sure i can say without any hesitation in the world my husband is perfect and i love him with all of my heart!

ps... he even buys me special surprises when i'm sitting with him at starbucks- what an angel! i love my new christmas ornament!!! thanks love! *kisses*

*aren't they adorable?!*

i'm thankful 13th, 14th, 15th

*aren't the clouds beautiful and fluffy?*

i'm so terribly late on these, but i guess late is better than never. i've been very busy getting my fill of my mom in this precious little time before we leave hawaii. it's been so much fun i can barely stand it. but, without further ado-

i'm thankful for the wind being blustery like it should be in november, even though it's coupled with blue skies and weather in the 80s.

i'm thankful for my hubby being such a good sport when i continually interrupt his internetting to show him all of the creations i've been making. i love him.

i'm thankful for a decent meal for $1.50 because we are trying to save our money for our time with no jobs. (but i'm really secretly scared because this economy isn't great, but more on that later!!)

thanks for bearing with me, friends, while i'm enjoying my vacation. i'll be posting more regularly soon! i have lots to share with you!!! happy thankful days to you!

sorry for the late post... mom and i were very very busy yesterday attempting to organize her sewing room. i really wish i could organize people's houses or their lives for a living... let me know if you know anyone who needs an assistant or needs their house organized. i'll be right there :)

for a real-sized kitchen to cook in with my mom! it's been great! i'm a maniac! i can't stop. i'll fill you in on all of the latest kitchen creations when i have some more time... right now we are heading out the door to go to our hawaiian quilting class! YAHOO! i'm learning applique and hand quilting- it's not easy! happy cooking!

ps. what have you made lately that you were totally proud of?!

*a little taste of my hawaiian quilting... i'll be blogging more about it as i get it finished!*

thankful november 11th

*my brother, sister and i saying goodbye to my dad*

this one will have to be a little bit more than just one thing because it's such a special day to my family and i. there are so many family members who have served, or are currently serving. both of my parents, myself, my husband, brother, sister, grandpa dawson, uncle roy, uncle jack, uncle les are just a few. thank you all!

first, i'm thankful for my sister and her husband celebrating their first anniversary happily and healthily in italy, in the shadow of their first deployment to afghanistan later this month. congrats you two~ i love you.

*kira & zack at graduation*

i'm also thankful for all of the soldiers, coasties, sailors, airmen, and marines; past, present & future. without them, our great country wouldn't be what it is today; a society where everyone is created equal and you have more rights than anyone else in the free world! what a place to live! i am thankful to have come home thrice from a war along with my loving husband. i'm thankful for having the opportunity to show my support of my country by serving for six years. i'm thankful to have served in the 101st, one of the most decorated units in military history, and can say i was part of the band of brothers. what an honor.

i am thankful~ on this, one of my favorite days of the year, i want to thank everyone who has served this great country i love with all my heart. each and every one of you are an incredible individual who gave up their comfortable civilian life to serve others. thank you thank you thank you!

*my mama and papa*

*grandpa dawson*

it's truly an honor to have been a part of something so much bigger than myself. for my friends who have fallen, you are always in my heart and on my mind, you touched so many lives while you were living and your legacy goes on.

i'm thankful for spending time with my husband and my family here in hawaii!
